Julia Goos Pence

WHAT TO EXPECT
This body of work reflects the perspectives of the collector, historian, and artist. Julia combines ideas of history and quilting, focusing on how we piece together elements to construct a larger whole or narrative. In her art practice, she collects, sorts, saves, combines, folds, records, and prints. Her works exemplify remembering and forgetting, piecing and cutting, revealing and concealing, connecting and fragmenting -- processes that typify both researching and quilting.
