WHAT TO EXPECT
Dozens of small Portland businesses innovate, create and even make the world a better place at ActivSpace, a four-story studio community in Southeast Portland. Normally, you need connections to get in the door. But for two days, you can spy, browse, shop, meet and greet at the building's first major open house, hosted by more than 25 entrepreneurs -- from artists to massage therapists, upholsters to designers.

Visitors can tour the art and business studios and buy cool stuff in the west parking lot. ActivSpace's resident eatery, Black Sheep Bakery, will sell barbecue of the vegetarian and carnivorous varieties. Local musicians will rock the lot. And the mini-bike dance troupe The Sprockettes will take the stage.
